    Not Good.

Borders on pretentious, but its actually not... just plain mid-directed!

Maybe there was a lot in Dev Benegal's head - u know textbook stuff, like 'always have a journey in the story'... or 'sparse dialogues, good compositions and that great cinematic pause'... ...

First things first. That the story is the foundation of any movie is now a rule rather than an exception as it was not too many years ago. Very true in case of "A Love Iishtory".

Towards the end of Road, Movie, there is a dialogue that goes something like: “Apni apni zindagi hain, apni apni kismat hain.” It was my kismat that made me go for Road, Movie and it is now my duty to make sure you don’t suffer the way I did.

Without exaggerating even a tad, ...

Among the inevitable division of commercial movies & multiplex cinema, there lies a small school of film-making who have a niche of their own. However, it’s being observed that a few from this school promote India & it’s not so shining image to paddle their films on festival circuits.

Post mortem of the movie does not allow you to believe most things. But..... in the movie theatre i did sit through the entire movie comfortably. I am not an SRK fan, but I thought he did a good job. and it had its moments. The movie inherently shows a Karan Johar effect. Not withstanding ...more
